What is the ordering process?

Kindly include your event date so I can confirm availability, after which we can discuss your requirements in detail.

Once a design has been agreed upon, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your date and allow preparation to commence. The remaining balance is due on or before the delivery date. Due to the extensive preparation involved, cancellations made within two weeks of the scheduled date will be invoiced in full.

What is the required lead time?

As every cake is individually designed, handcrafted, and decorated to order, I can only accept a limited number of commissions each week. I respectfully request that all orders be placed well in advance of your event date to ensure availability. Wedding cakes, in particular, should be booked at the earliest opportunity, as dates fill quickly. Most cakes takes up at least two to three days to complete; regrettably, same-day or next-day orders cannot be accommodated.

How do I know what my cake will look like?

Every cake is a unique, bespoke creation designed exclusively around your personal vision. Should you wish to share a reference image for inspiration, I will endeavour to create something within that style; however, I do not accept commissions that require replicating another artist's original work. My design process draws upon a range of considered details—from your event stationery and venue aesthetic to the nature of the celebration or a meaningful element associated with the guest of honour. During our initial consultation—whether by telephone, email, or in person—I will discuss all relevant aspects of your event, including the occasion, date, time, venue, theme, anticipated number of guests, and whether a separate dessert course will be served.

Can you accommodate special diets?

I can accommodate special dietary requirements for intolerances only. Unfortunately, I cannot accept orders for severe allergies. All cakes—both regular and special diet—are prepared in the same kitchen using the same equipment. Despite taking every precaution, cross-contamination cannot be completely avoided.

Do you deliver?

Delivery and on-site setup service is available exclusively for tall tiered cakes, such as wedding cakes. This service is subject to the distance of the venue from the shop and the availability on the requested delivery date.

What if I need to cancel?

Once the final design has been approved, a non-refundable 50% deposit will be required to hold your reservation. Cancellations within two weeks of the due date will be invoiced in full.

Do you offer tastings?

A taster box can be pre-ordered as a separate purchase and is available in our online store.

How can I determine the number of servings for each cake size?

The illustration below serves as a guide; however, the number of servings depends entirely on how the cake is sliced.
